Title Using the Coulomb’s Law PhET Simulation: Concept Development for Understanding Electrostatic Forces
Description This activity was done in week 1 of the first term general chemistry course at UC-Riverside. The activity was done at the beginning of the unit on electronic structure, which was initiated immediately after the unit on basic atomic structure (the nuclear model of the atom). This activity was done as the initial exploration into the concept of electrostatic forces, with the goal of helping students understand the attractive/repulsive forces in the atom.
