This lesson uses the PhET sim "Circuit construction kit: DC". Students usually find circuit construction in practice very different from what they have understood from their physics class. The circuit construction kit provides the opportunity to make as many trials as it took students to build in depth understanding of circuit construction concepts without taking any risk they might encounter, which many incidents have been reported, in long term engagement with real circuit construction. This enable them to easily apply the concepts for real circuit construction. |
