Description

Kapankah sebuah benda akan mengapung dan akan tenggelam ? Amati bagaimana gaya apung bekerja pada sebuah balok. Arah panah menunjukkan gaya-gaya yang diterima oleh benda. Anda dapat mengubah-ubah massa-jenis, berat dan volume balok dan massa-jenis cairannya.

Contoh Tujuan Pengajaran

  • Dengan mengetahui parameter fisis benda dan cairannya, perkirakan apakan sebuah benda akan tenggalam atau mengapung saat dimasukkan ke dalam cairan.
  • Definisikan massa-jenis (rapat massa) baik untuk benda padat dan cair.
  • Carilah hubungan antara gaya apung, berat benda dan volume cairan yang dipindahkan oleh benda.
  • Jelaskan hubungan antara gaya apung dan massa-jenis benda relatip terhadap massa-jenis cairan.
  • Dengan mengetahui berat dan volume benda, perkirakan berat bagian benda yang berada dalam cairan (baik yang mengapung atau tenggelam).
  • Perkirakan gaya apung pada benda yang mengapung maupun yang tenggelam.
  • Jelaskan bagaimana sebuah benda yang lebih padat dibanding air dapat tetap mengapung dengan menumpangkannya / meletakkannya pada benda yang memiliki rapat-massa yang lebih kecil dibandingkan air.
