Ohm's Law with Series and Parallel Resistors |
Description
|
Students choose random resitor values to build specific circuits using the simulation. Ohm's Law is applied on paper to determine effective resistance, total current, voltage drops across resistors, and current through resistors. Voltmeters and ammeters in the sim are then used to take screen shots of measured values, which are then compared to the calculated values. Finally, the idea of power and how it is measured is introduced.
This wsa created for and MYP4-5 level science course, and the attached rubric is a modified Criterion C rubric from the MYP guide.
