| 描述 | Two-page (low paper use) lab with ten-point formal assessment at its conclusion. The lab should take no more than 50 minutes, including calculations and questions. (rsvd 5/11) This lab is challenging for the students to perform but reasonably easy to grade. If absent, this lab can be done at home with moderate instructor input or notes. This lab is performed at the end of the first-year physics curriculum or during the physics II AP (honors added 5/11)curriculum as an introduction to quantum physics at an urban high school in Las Vegas, Nevada. |

- This is"Gold Star" quality. This is a well-prepared lab and while the arihmetic seems routinized, this clearly reinforces the process of the photoelectric effect. I used this in my Physics 1 class and the diligent students (not necessarily the Straight-A students) were able to finish in a class period. Calculator is a must and the students must look at units. Setting the voltage in Part II can be tedious, but experimental error explained by all of the students. T. Cannon 10-5-14 Trina Cannon
