Title Energy Skater -- Introduction to Mechanical Energy Conservation
Description I use this activity to introduce conservation of energy. The lesson worked great this year! I kept returning to the simulation throughout the energy unit to ask conceptual questions about energy conservation. It really seemed to help students understand the concept. Learning goals: o Draw a picture that explains potential energy o Draw a picture that explains kinetic energy o Write an explanation of "conservation of energy" in your own words with pictures.
